#The keep on the borderlands 5e goodman games Pc#
So, in short, the scope of the playtest has been expanded somewhat, and now I'm going to find out all about how easily 5e can be used to run old BX adventures.Īnyway, I was kind of hoping to run this game in something like that oldschool huge-pool-of-casual-players style (with possibilities for high lethality, NPC hirelings, mixed PC levels, stables of multiple characters, the whole nine yards). And then I saw that "cave of the unknown" that was thrown onto the old Keep map without any details, and figured that the natural thing to do was pick up "In Search of the Unknown" and have that cave lead to the Caverns of Quasqueton. Then I decided to actually grab the old "Keep on the Borderlands" module and fill in all the action around the Caves. So my plan started out as just a basic playtest deal where we'd make characters and do the Caves of Chaos thing provided with the package. I've just started running a 5e playtest game with my local crew (mostly veteran gamers, but mostly not D&D types), and I'd like to keep a running account of the game in this thread, with an open call for advice from anybody, on anything.
